Maddie Barry is a New York-based choreographer, dancer, and filmmaker whose work explores themes of identity, human connection, and the ways individuals navigate belonging. She has choreographed numerous works for both stage and screen, using contemporary movement to explore relationships, and the complexities of the human experience. Her choreography has been presented at events including the Mignolo International Screendance Festival and Uptown Rising at Bridge For Dance. Drawing from her background in contemporary dance, floorwork, and release-based movement practices, as well as her studies in anthropolgy, Maddie creates work that investigates the relationship between the body and its environment.
